I can not believe how fast this pregnancy has gone by. It seems like only yesterday I was peeing on the little stick. I remember the 2nd test saying pregnant. I was SO scared. I woke Tyler up and showed him the little stick. I was crying as he hugged me and said, " We are gonna have a baby" with a smile on his face. He wasn't the least bit worried. Tyler is always sure everything will work out. That is just one of the many reasons why I love him. He keeps me grounded. I, on the other hand, began to worry about EVERY LITTLE THING... How will we afford a baby?, Where are we going to put a baby?, What if she has a mustache!?.
I can not believe in 9 weeks and 6 days little Olivia will be here. I have really loved being pregnant. I am so excited for her to be here but nearing the end of being prego is also a little bittersweet. I know that as soon as she is out of my belly, she wont stay a baby forever....OK, enough sappy, more happy.
Today I read that by this point in the pregnancy she can grasp a finger. Isn't that amazing!?! Also, her vision now, and weeks after birth is 20/400. That means she will only be able to see things that are a few inches from her face. I think this is God's way of giving new mommies a chance to adjust to the no showers/no make-up lifestyle that having a newborn brings. I will have a few weeks to figure out how to look pretty and be a good mommy before she will be able to see me...what a relief :)
